IGI Global will present the panel “Open Access Publishing Initiatives: How You Can Benefit From OA Funding Through Library and Publisher Collaborations.” This panel will discuss how the open access movement has been growing and permeating through the academic community for years, and how publishing under OA can be an incredible opportunity to create new and innovative collaborations to allow research findings to have a wider reach to experts all around the world, therefore often leading to higher download and citation rates. However, by publishing under open access, many researchers struggle to find funding for their article processing charges (APCs) and/or chapter publishing charges (CPCs), which are applied to cover the costs of publishing under OA. With Read & Publish models and open access initiatives, many publishers are collaborating with institutions to ensure affordability or in some cases fully cover these costs. Join IGI Global as we help you to further your understanding of varying Read & Publish and OA waiver initiatives in the industry, IGI Global’s current relationship with Nova Southeastern University and how you can benefit from OA funding for your research through IGI Global’s OA Fee Waiver (Read & Publish) Initiative, and the open access publication process. Power Publishing Day
Other panels throughout Power Publishing Day will cover:
  • Getting your research published, including case studies
  • Navigating the peer review process
  • Strategies for finding the right publisher
  • And More
Power Publishing Day will be held in person at the Alvin Sherman Library, 3100 Ray Ferrero Jr. Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33314 as well as online.
Visit NSU’s Power Publishing Day event schedule for all panels and presentations times and locations. Please contact IGI Global’s Open Access Division for questions regarding their panel prior to the event at openaccessadmin@igi-global.com.
