Maximizing Commerce and Marketing Strategies through Micro-Blogging@WeSpeechies was founded in March 2014 by Dr. Caroline Bowen @speech_woman and Dr. Bronwyn Hemsley @BronwynHemsley, both of whom are Australian Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs). It provides a curated meeting point, on Twitter, for SLPs, Speech & Language Therapists (SLTs) and SLP/SLT students to promote international professional communication.

Its purpose is to facilitate mutual support, helpful connections, sharing of peer reviewed articles and relevant links to websites and blog posts, and to provide opportunities for professional encouragement, colleague-to-colleague worldwide, in all areas of practice. Find additional information about @WeSpeechies' development here in Speech Pathology Australia’s Internet Column, Webwords.

Dr. Bronwyn Hemsley recently reached out to us at IGI Global, expressing interest in the work of Dr. Stephen Dann @StephenDann of the Australian National University, Australia. Dr. Dann recently published two chapters in the title Maximizing Commerce and Marketing Strategies through Micro-Blogging, a reference source that examines the various methods and benefits of using micro-blogs within a business context, bringing together the best tools and tactics necessary to properly incorporate this approach.

Dr. Dann's chapters "Benchmarking Micro-Blog Performance: Twitter Content Classification Framework" and "Twitter Data Acquisition and Analysis: Methodology and Best Practice" will be featured for open access via @WeSpeechies at their article page through August 22. Visit @WeSpeechies to support the outstanding work of author Dr. Stephen Dann, as well as the tremendous educational contributions of Dr. Hemsley and Dr. Bowen. We also invite you to Follow IGI Global on Twitter @IGIGlobal, Like us on Facebook, and Connect with us via LinkedIn.
