IGI Global Announces the 2023 Journal Reviewer Award Winners

IGI Global is pleased to announce this year's winners of its new "Reviewer of the Year Award" sponsored by; IGI Global's Open Access Journal Program. This award recognizes the valuable contributions of IGI Global's journal editorial board members and is presented annually to the top reviewers (editorial review board members and associate editors) across IGI Global's 200+ scholarly open access journals.
All editorial board members (editorial review board members and associate editors) for IGI Global journals who actively performed reviews in a quality and timely fashion over the 2023 calendar year were eligible for nomination. Performance was measured based on the volume of completed peer reviews, the quality of peer reviews, and the timeliness of completion. Reviewer performance is tracked and documented through dashboards in IGI Global's proprietary eEditorial Discovery (eED) manuscript management and review system. The top editorial review board member and the top associate editor from each of IGI Global's three major subject areas: Business & Management; Scientific, Technical, & Medical(STM); and Education are awarded the honor.

Dr. Arpan Kumar Kar
Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India

Prof. Arpan Kar is Professor and Endowed Chair Professor in Information Systems in Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. Administratively he chairs Corporate Affairs and is a member of few other administrative committees. He works on the adoption, usage and user experiences of emerging ICTs, often using computationally intensive machine learning driven methods. He has authored over 200 publications and edited 15 books, of which over 80 publications are ABDC A, ABS 3 and WoS Q1 level journals, and 16 publications are ABDC A* publications. As of December 2023, his research has been cited over 15,000 times with an H index of 57. He is the Editor in Chief of International Journal of Information Management Data Insights, published by Elsevier. He is a Senior Editor in Decision Support Systems (ABDC A*, SSB). He is an Associate Editor in International Journal of Information Management (ABDC A*), Communications of the AIS (ABDC A), Journal of Computer Information Systems (ABDC A), Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management (ABDC A), etc. He has been a Guest Editor for top journals like Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Information Management (twice), Information Systems Frontiers (twice), Australasian Journal of Information Systems, etc. He has undertaken over 25 sponsored projects from national and international organizations and over 20 long duration executive education programs. He received the Research Excellence Award by Clarivate Analytics for highest individual Web of Science citations from 2015-2020. He received the 2020 BK Birla Distinguished Researcher Award for the count of ABDC A* publications over 5 years. He is the recipient of the Best Seller Award from Ivey / Harvard Cases in 2020 for his case Tech Talk on social media analytics. He has received over 20 other awards for his research, teaching and services from national and international organizations including 8 best paper awards in IFIP, ACM and IEEE conferences.

Prof. Jan Frick
University of Stavanger, Norway

Prof. Jan Frick earned his Master’s degree from NTNU, Trondheim in 1980 and his Ph.D. from Aalborg University, Denmark in 1991. He has lectured on Operations Management, Lean Management, and Entrepreneurship at the University of Stavanger Business School since 1991. Prof. Frick has chaired the Cluster for Industrial Asset Management (CIAM) since 2018. Additionally, he founded Sirdal Skisenter and has been Chairman of the Board since 2004. He has been the CEO of Beinesdalen Utvikling since the same year.

Prof. Kiran Mary Matthew
Government Model Engineering College, India

Ms Kiran Mary Matthew works as Assistant Professor at Model Engineering College, Kerala, India in the department of Computer Science and Engineering. She holds a BTech degree in Information Technology. She did her Masters in Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Cloud Computing. She worked as a Firmware Engineer at Vocera Communications, India. Her area of interest include cloud security, key management, microprocessors, networks and machine learning.

Prof. Randa Salah Gomaa Mahmoud
Zagazig University, Egypt

Dr. Mahmoud has a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University in 1996, andamaster’sdegree in 2001 and a Ph.D. in 2006 in Medical Physiology. She has been working as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Human Medicine, Zagazig University since 1998, then as an assistant lecturer since 2002, then as a lecturer since 2006, then as an assistant professor from 2015 until July 2021 and lastly Professor until now. Dr. Mahmoud is a regular member of American physiological Society (APS).She works as a reviewer in the scientific committee to examine the scientific production of applicants for the positions of assistant professor and professor in the medical sector. Medical Physiology Committee since 2023 until now.

Dr. Svetlana Vasileva-Boyadzhieva
Varna University of Management, Bulgaria

Dr. Svetlana Vasileva-Boyadzhieva was born in Plodiv, Bulgaria and went to the Saint-Petersburg State Electrotechnical University (LETI), where she studied Engineer Process Systems "Computer Aided Design" and obtained her degree in 1994. She has also a degree as a PhD in Informatics. She worked as a programmer (1995-1996 - EF "DeytaSoft" - Plovdiv), assistant professor of Informatics (1997-2000 - Agricultural University - Plovdiv), before moving in 2001 to the University of Shumen, College Dobrich where she was a chief assistant professor in Informatics. Since 2016 she has been an associate professor at Varna University of Management. Areas of scientific interests: Simulation modeling of processes and systems; Control systems for distributed databases; Application of information technologies in education.

Prof. Jonathan White
Högskolan Dalarna, Sweden

Jonathan White is an Associate Professor in English Linguistics at Högskolan Dalarna in Sweden. His research focuses mainly on computer-mediated communication and how this intersects with online language learning. Also the effect of online communication on the English language in terms of norms and grammar are important areas of interest.
