In light of this exciting new collection, we would like to take some time to draw attention to a recently released video in the series to demonstrate the unique breadth and depth of this new product line.

Impact of Social Media on Communication and Business presents a series of video lessons on the role of social media in today’s hyper-connected world with an emphasis on the impact of digital social networking on human cognition, the media industry, business, and marketing. This video lecture is based on the lecturer’s research on social networking in addition to his experience in leading courses and presentations on the topic at various universities.

Social media has had a profound impact on society, especially in the areas of communication and business practice. The prevalence of social media and widespread applications across a number of sectors requires that professionals and academics have a solid understanding of the underlying mechanisms of social media sites as well as an understanding of how to better utilize new media tools. Delivered by Bu Zhong (Pennsylvania State University, USA), this video lecture fits the educational needs of researchers, students, business professionals, and sociologists interested in understanding the changing scope of human communication, business, and the role of social media.
