Esports is Revolutionizing Education with Scholarships, Jobs, and Investments

By IGI Global on May 23, 2023
0 Esports is often viewed as a distraction from education and not taken seriously, but this industry can create scholarships, jobs, and school investments. For example, universities across the US are offering esports scholarships to recruit and support talented gamers. Additionally, esports can lead to job opportunities in areas such as event planning, marketing, and broadcasting. Furthermore, schools can invest in esports programs to provide students with valuable skills such as teamwork, communication, and strategic thinking. The established book, Esports Research and Its Integration in Education (ISBN: 9781799870692), published by IGI Global and showcases expert perspectives from six different countries, explores empirical studies that help practitioners to understand how esports is developing within and around learning institutions and what the impact may be on students and their contemporary educational experiences.
