Editor Richard Van Eck Hosts Talk in Bismarck, North Dakota, on Education and Technology

Gaming and Cognition: Theories and Practice from the Learning SciencesInterdisciplinary Models and Tools for Serious Games: Emerging Concepts and Future Directions IGI Global Editor Richard Van Eck will be featured in an upcoming talk in Bismarck, North Dakota, USA, based on the topic of technology in education. Dr. Van Eck is an Associate Professor of Instructional Design & Technology at the University of North Dakota, and has published many books, chapters, and articles in the areas of education and technology in the classroom.

Dr. Van Eck edited the IGI Global publications Gaming and Cognition: Theories and Practice from the Learning Sciences and Interdisciplinary Models and Tools for Serious Games: Emerging Concepts and Future Directions. The talk is hosted by the North Dakota Humanities Council (NDHC), and Dr. Van Eck's publications will also be featured in the organization's magazine On Second Thought. The North Dakota Humanities Council was established to provide opportunities to engage with and debate powerful ideas, because democracy cannot exist without thoughtful and informed citizens dedicated to freedom and justice.
