Continuing the Partnership: IGI Global Representatives Visit China

By IGI Global Author Relations Team on Apr 10, 2018
ChinaVisit For over 30 years, IGI Global has partnered with industry-leading Chinese researchers and prominent institutions to provide more than 8,500 contributions to IGI Global publications. As a part of IGI Global’s commitment to its valuable Chinese stakeholders, Nick Newcomer, Director of Marketing, and Josh Witman, Business Manager, visited China to meet with IGI Global’s longstanding partners including the China Educational Publications Import & Export Corporation (CEPIEC), the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), International Center for Informatics Research (ICIR), iGroup, and Chinese National Publications Import and Export Corporation (CNPIEC).

In addition to visiting partners, Newcomer and Witman visited Chinese institutions including Beijing Jiaotong University. Thanks to close collaborations with leading Chinese institutions, such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, University of Science and Technology of China, IGI Global is able to provide quality vetted academic content throughout China.

"The individuals Nick and I had the privilege of meeting with were very gracious and accommodating to us. It came as no surprise to us when we were informed over and over that IGI Global’s publications are held in the highest regard and demand throughout the Chinese market. The timeliness and cutting-edge research that IGI Global publishes fuels the Chinese advancements in research, education, innovation and technology," said Witman

In addition to these strong collaborations, IGI Global has an ongoing partnership with the Chinese National Science and Technology Library (NSTL) and is providing an expanding portfolio of 175+ journals to over 500 Chinese institutions through their award-winning InfoSci-Journals database. Through this database, universities have access to emerging research in 11 core subjects such as business and management, computer science and information technology, education, engineering, and social science and humanities, assisting Chinese researchers in paving the way for new advancements.

For libraries and institutions globally, InfoSci®-Journals, a collection of 175+ journals with thousands of articles and over one million citation rates, is now being offered for an annual subscription rate as low as US$ 4,950 for new customers. Additionally, IGI Global’s InfoSci®-Books, a collection of 3,900+ e-books with more than 86,000+ chapters, is being offered for a one-time perpetual purchase for 2018 (505 e-books) for US$ 20,850 or an annual subscription price as low as US$ 5,950.

With a guarantee of no more than a 5 percent annual price increase, these databases provide institutions with emerging research that has been indexed by prestigious indices, including Web of Science, Scopus, and Ei Compendex.

IGI Global’s Chinese partners were excited to share this transparent pricing structure with their customers, and the international publisher has already begun to assist them with additional training on the InfoSci® platform, which provides institutions will full-text PDF and XML format, no embargo of content, and unlimited simultaneous users.
