Abstract

The chapter deals with issues related to the construction and development of the digital economy in one particular region: Republic of Armenia. This country is considered the digital sector of which may become the largest in the country in the next five years. The digital revolution affects all areas of the Armenian economy. Prior to this, the Armenian economy was known as the mining industry, a food producer, and a food. Today, according to statistics, Armenia's leading mining and energy companies are already one step ahead of their colleagues in the economically successful implementation of digital technology. Naturally, in such successes of digital transformations, there are key components. The authors hope that the examples of development and thought about the driving springs of these transformations, chosen in consideration of the interests of the development of the Russian digital economy, can be interesting and useful for Russian enterprises that have started their digital transformations.

Introduction

Significant gains, the necessary breakthroughs over the past decades, in our understanding of the relationship between knowledge and growth, on the one hand, and entrepreneurship and growth, on the other have been made. Analogously, the researchers obtained a result that showed how entrepreneurship, innovation and knowledge are interrelated. But full understanding, that is a clear interface of all these variables: knowledge, innovation, entrepreneurship and growth, unfortunately - was not. The essential relationship between knowledge and innovation, entrepreneurship and the expected growth is very complex and depends on forces that can simultaneously influence all variables, at least in part. These are in case when other variables can expect unidirectional effects or affect only some of these variables. Therefore, the relationship between the microeconomic origin of growth and the macroeconomic position is still too unobvious to cover the entire width of these complex and overlapping variables.

Despite the successes achieved by researchers in the economy, but to date, a number of key issues related to the dynamics of the growth process and subsequent normative conclusions are not fully understood and, as a consequence, are only partially studied. This state of affairs concerns a whole series of simple but very important problems, and the definition of the basic concept of innovation is still lacking explicitly, there is no answer to the question of how they arise and by whom, that is, the connection with entrepreneurial activity. Moreover, there is no answer to the questions:

  • 1.

    how does innovation contribute to new knowledge (through scientific and technological discoveries or a broader view of innovation?);

  • 2.

    What knowledge bases and cognitive abilities are crucial for innovation?

  • 3.

    How exactly do innovations justify growth and how do the effects dissipate spatially?

  • 4.

    What policy measures should be taken to increase the likelihood of sustainable growth based on knowledge?

These are the questions that will be focused in this chapter with the help of a separate review of the literature in the background and on the examples in MAIN FOCUS OF THE CHAPTER.

We note that the lack of detailed understanding and explicit answers to the above questions shows that our knowledge of the microeconomic fundamentals of growth is not complete, but it can also be very erroneous. The conclusion is obvious that without the exact microeconomic growth model, the derived derivatives of the developed policy are in the zone of risk and perhaps they are wrong. Consequently, the growth reforms developed on them will be incompatible with time and will also change at different stages of economic development. Today's developing countries can learn from policies previously pursued by developed countries, while developed countries themselves face the more complex task of formulating growth policies for the future. Consequently, the relationship between the level of development, entrepreneurship, innovation and growth is a very important indicator, and one must know it.

The authors in this chapter show the essence, dignity, current state and development prospects of avatar-based management using blockchain technology for improving implementation of economic solutions in the framework as help system of entrepreneurs of sharing economy. The authors of this chapter set out to avoid examining the avatars based model for policy advice, but to try to assess the merits, identify avatars-based models as a new basis for policy advice based mainly on work and experience as part of a recently completed project “Triple H Avatar an Avatar‐based Software Platform for HHH University, Sydney, Australia which was carried out 2008‐2018” (Mkrttchian et al., 2011,2012,2013,2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018). The main goal of this project is to create such a model based on avatars where there is a link between macro and micro levels that provides a single platform for solving problems in various areas of the digital economic system that is designed to assist entrepreneurs. This project was the first to create such a model implementation that allows you to scale simulations for a large number of economic avatars and provide graphical user interfaces that allow researchers at the user level not familiar with the technical details of the implementation to implement for the design of individual parts of the model, engineering and economic experiments and analysis of modeling results for the system of assistance to entrepreneurs.
