Published Continuous Volume. Est. 2021.

Technology has, and continues to, profoundly impact every facet of global society. From disrupting businesses and solving the world’s most complex problems, to monitoring human and environmental health and promoting learning in new and engaging ways, technology continues to be the driving force behind societal advancement. Each year, thousands of new tools, concepts, theories, methods, and innovations are studied, discussed, and implemented, constantly altering best practices, policies, laws, procedures, and more. As researchers struggle to keep up with the rapid pace of technological advancement, it is essential to have a publication that provides access to collective research and knowledge related to the latest technological discoveries and research correlated to all technologies and their applications and management.

The Journal of Technological Advancements is a gold open access journal that publishes double-blind peer-reviewed emerging research on the newest technological breakthroughs, covering leading topics across every discipline and industry that is impacted by technological advancement. These disciplines include but are not limited to business and management, education, engineering science, environmental science, government and law, security, medicine, the humanities, and more. With coverage on some of the most advanced technologies available, including artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, augmented and virtual reality, autonomous things, nanotechnology, hyper-personalized medicine, quantum computing, 5G networks, and the Internet of Things, this journal discusses all aspects of technological advancement, from the actual design and application of a technology to its implementation and impact within society and organizations across the globe. As such, all scientists, clinicians, professionals, practitioners, engineers, academicians, researchers, and students are encouraged to submit their work and utilize this extensive forum to continue to advance their knowledge.

The Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Technological Advancements (JTA) would like to invite you to consider submitting a manuscript for inclusion in this scholarly journal. The following describes the mission, the coverage and the guidelines for submission to JTA.

Mission

The Journal of Technological Advancements seeks to bring the academic community together in order to publish the most recent research findings at an accelerated pace while still upholding the integrity of research. Technology continues to advance at a rapid rate—a speed that outmatches the pace in which new innovations can be published. Using an expedited, ethical, and quality-centric approach to the double-blind peer review process, articles that are accepted for publication within this journal are immediately accessible online, often in as little as 14 days. This allows for the rapid widespread dissemination of essential research findings that can spur further advancements and solve challenges that face society now and in the future. All article manuscripts are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License () where the copyright for the work remains solely with the author(s) of the article manuscript and the published research is immediately and freely accessible to all researchers around the world. The purpose of this journal is to widely disseminate the rapid achievements that are being made each day in an effort to keep the research community apprised of the latest developments in their respective fields, as well as to further their studies.

Submission

Prospective authors should note that only original and previously unpublished article manuscripts will be considered. Interested authors must consult the Journal Guidelines for Manuscript Submission at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/journal-guidelines-for-submission/?titleid=269965 PRIOR to submission. Any further questions may be answered at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/. All article manuscript submissions will be forwarded to at least three members of the editorial review board of the journal for a double-blind peer review. The final decision regarding acceptance/revision/rejection will be based on the reviews received from the reviewers.

This journal is Gold Open Access, meaning all of its published contents will be 100% open access and the copyright of the published work will stay with the author(s) ((Note: IGI Global open access journal article manuscript publishing offers authors the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licensing arrangement. The copyright for the work remains solely with the author(s) of the article manuscript), and the publisher will provide the published contents free of charge globally (there will no longer be subscription fees or payment of any kind required for individuals and libraries to access and utilize the published contents).

Because of this, the journal will be heavily reliant on Open Access Article Processing Charges (APCs) payment provided by either the author(s) or his/her/their respective institution or another funding agency, AFTER the article manuscript submission has been through a full double-blind peer review and the Editor-in-Chief at his/her full discretion has decided to accept the manuscript based on the results of the double-blind peer review process. The APC will offset the costs of all of the activities associated with the publication of the article manuscript, including the digital tools used to support the manuscript management and review process, the typesetting, formatting and layout, online hosting, the submission of the journal’s content to numerous abstracts, directories, and indexes, third party software (plagiarism checks), editorial support which includes manuscript tracking, communications, submission guideline checks, communications with authors and reviewers, as well as all promotional support and activities which includes metadata distribution, press releases, promotional communications, web content, ads, fliers, brochures, postcards, etc. for the journal and its published contents; and the fact that all published articles will be freely accessible and able to be posted and disseminated widely by the authors.

The Article Processing Charge (APC) for this journal is currently set at $1,800 USD and authors will not be asked to provide payment of the APC fee (directly to the publisher) until AFTER their manuscript has gone through the full double-blind peer review process and the Editor-in-Chief at his/her full discretion has decided to accept the manuscript based on the results of the double-blind peer review process. Please note that there is absolutely NO correlation between the APC (Article Processing Charge) being paid by the author and the results of review process outcomes.
