The International Journal of Translation, Interpretation, and Applied Linguistics (IJTIAL) is a biannual innovative forum for researchers and practitioners from any part of the world to disseminate the latest trends, techniques, and practical solutions in the growing fields of translation, interpretation, and linguistics. This journal encompasses a broad range of discussions on translation theories, interpretation practice, global education of translators and interpreters and applied linguistics. The editorial offices for the journal are based at Shandong University (Weihai) in China. The journal is universally accessible in both online and print form. It does not charge any review or publication fees.

The Editors-in-Chief of the International Journal of Translation, Interpretation and Applied Linguistics (IJTIAL) invites authors to submit manuscripts for consideration in this scholarly journal. The following describes the mission, coverage and guidelines for submission to IJITAL.

Mission

The mission of the International Journal of Translation, Interpretation, and Applied Linguistics (IJTIAL) is to encourage sound empirical interdisciplinary research that aims at the improvement of T&I and ESL practice. It also accepts theoretical research articles, book reviews and interviews. The language of publication is English although the issues discussed may involve all languages and language combinations. Thematic issues guest-edited by leading scholars from around the world are published annually and proposals are welcome.

Submission

Prospective authors should note that only original and previously unpublished article manuscripts will be considered. Interested authors must consult the Journal Guidelines for Manuscript Submission at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/journal-guidelines-for-submission/?titleid=175203 PRIOR to submission. Any further questions may be answered at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/. All article manuscript submissions will be forwarded to at least three members of the editorial review board of the journal for a double-blind peer review. The final decision regarding acceptance/revision/rejection will be based on the reviews received from the reviewers.

Starting January 1st, 2021, this journal will be converting from Hybrid Open Access to full Gold Open Access, meaning from January 1st, 2021 onward all of its published contents will be 100% open access and the copyright of the published work will stay with the author(s) (Note: IGI Global open access journal article manuscript publishing offers authors the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licensing arrangement). The copyright for the work remains solely with the author(s) of the article manuscript, and the publisher will provide the published contents free of charge globally (there will no longer be subscription fees or payment of any kind required for individuals and libraries to access and utilize the published contents).



The Open Access Article Processing Charge (APC) is set at US $1,300 and as such there will be no Open Access Article Processing Charge (APC) payment requested from authors publishing their work with IJTIAL as all open access funding for this journal is provided by Shandong University (Weihai), China.
