Introduction
The aim of the special issue is to present the most advance and modern approach in the field of Natural Computing with a link to scientific research and its practical implementation. The Natural Computation is a human-designed computing inspired by nature that has touched all the domains of life. Nature has provided us ‘n’ number ways where we can design and develop innovative products. In many domains, nature-inspired approach has shattered through obstacles and provides best capabilities of computing.

Objective
In the past few decades there have been an interesting rise in the application of Natural Computing from theory, experiments, and applications. The primary objective of this special issue is to bring forward thorough, in-depth, and well-focused developments of Natural Computing applications in various domains. The issue will carry revised and substantially extended versions of presented research contribution at the International Conference on 2nd International Conference on Soft Computing: Theories and Applications (SoCTA2017: socta.in), however this issue is also open for all.

Introduction
Nowadays enormous amount of work has shown in recognizing camera captured images as a promising and growing field of research for document analysis and recognition. This is due to the far-flung availability of camera phones, hand-held digital still/video cameras and more recently wearable cameras. The mobile camera industry is expected to expand reaching US$18.8 billion market value by 2021. We are in the middle of a second explosive growth of mobile camera technologies, driven by new applications such as virtual/augmented reality, drones and robots, that will push the specifications even higher. Dedicated consumer and professional camera-based document scanning solutions are currently in the market

Objective
The aim of this special issue is to provide a premier international platform for wide range of professions including scholars, researchers, academicians and Industry people to discuss and present the most recent challenges and developments in ‘camera based analysis and recognition' from the perspective of providing developments and awareness and its best practices for the real world. Also, this special issue is open to submit novel and high quality research contributions in the field of camera based analysis and recognition. We anticipate that this special issue will open new entrance for further research and technology improvements in this important area.
