Editor/Author Biographies
Elena Railean has a Ph.D in Pedagogy, and is senior lecturer and vice-chef of Project Management Department at European University of Moldova and senior researcher at Academy of Sciences of Moldova. She is author of two monographs and more than 75 articles in theory and methodology of applied learning theory and design. Her research interests include philosophy of learning, cybernetic pedagogy, computerized assessment, knowledge management, quantum psychology and mathematical modeling. The focus of her research is to investigate the metasystems approach of learning processes, principles of writing and assessment in digital semantic workplaces. Elena is the author of the didactical model for electronic textbooks, which affordance is to develop competence through dynamic and flexible instructional strategy. Her main publications are Methodology of educational software; The psychopedagogical bases for electronic textbook development; Knowledge Management Model for Electronic Textbook Design; Issues and challenges associated with the design of electronic textbook; and Trends, issues and solutions in e-books pedagogy.
