Description & Coverage
Description:

1) an overview of what the publication will be about This is to propose a new publication in Management to ensure that shared affiliation through collaboration for innovation and developing expertise. This book offers a model to expand managers’ and employees’ mindsets for sustainable performance.  This book proposes a Sharing Affiliations, Innovation and Expertise (SHINE) model well suited for a changing environment to upskill the job shaping roles and responsibilities for high level trust and relationships between managers and employees. - Sharing Affiliations are embodied in the novelty and goodness of high-level trust and relationships based on tie ups, collaboration or association. - Innovation is the fusion of learning management system and platform proceeding towards a cross level problem solving of free-flowing knowledge network generating new ideas intended to adapt with change. - Expertise is the new managerial competency for employee mindset to acquire mastery of function, skills, and experiences. Taken together, sharing affiliations are a contextual pre-condition that yields innovation. The sparking of innovation within the contextual pre-condition of managers and employees sharing affiliations surfaces expertise among them. SHINE is a research-based and practitioner-scholar oriented model for use as a framework for interventions in organizations. The use of this model by practitioner-scholar in their interventions may be undertaken in private, public or non-profit organizations. The book exemplifies/illustrates SHINE model through successful real-life projects, cases, examples and storytelling narratives of managerial problems and dilemmas identified by creative mindsets to develop new products, process and systems-based innovation and expertise. 2) how it will impact the research community, and The impact of this book for the research community is the application through an actional practice model for practitioner-scholars. The impact of this book is that it will offer a real-world practical model with real-world examples that integrates research on shared affiliation, innovation and expertise. Practicing managers, decision makers will find solutions to their problems and take their organizations forward. This exploration will be undertaken in relation to individual and collective mindsets for organizational success in response to a more recent desire within the research community for integrating and extending the existing bodies of research into actional practice among practitioner-scholars. The clinical real-world applications of sharing affiliations, innovation and expertise have been less forthcoming. Practitioner-scholars in the research community from a wide cross-section of business management associations ranging from the Academy of Management, Labor and Employment Relations, Association of Human Resource Development and the Society for Advancement of Socioeconomics, to name a few. Research so far conducted has not touched on in detail the application aspect of their findings which could help practitioners. 3) who you intend to use it. The book is intended to be used by HR practitioners, managers, research scholars and students who are mainly involved in exploring ways to overcome problems in shared affiliations. The top managers are stuck in old paradigms therefore limited innovations and lack of expertise in research-based applications. These are management and information professionals, engineers, teachers, subject experts who are enablers in learning and development activities, organization changes and process improvements.
