Pedro Dinis Gaspar

Pedro Dinis Gaspar has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Professor at the Department of Electromechanical Engineering of University of Beira Interior (Portugal). His teaching activities are related with the subjects of “Air conditioning and Industrial Refrigeration”, “Industrial Automation” and “Robotics”. He is also the Director of 1st (Bachelor) and 2nd cycle of study (Master of Science) of Mechanical Engineering course. Is main research activities are related to the thermal performance and energy efficiency of commercial refrigeration equipment. He carried several experimental studies and CFD modelling to improve the overall performance of open refrigerated display cases on different ambient air conditions. He coordinates(ed) several R&D projects related with the improvement and the energy efficiency in the agrifood sector. He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters.
