Mourad Belgasmia

Mourad Belgasmia is a Lecturer and Thesis Adviser joined the team of the Civil Engineering department of university of Bejaia (Algeria) on December 2001 as a lecturer (assistant professor), till 2008, Since 2008 till now with the team of the Civil Engineering department of university of Setif 1 (Algeria). He spent two years (from 2004 to 2006) at the laboratory of structural and continuum Mechanics at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland, working then on seismic evaluation of existing structures and new structures using Pushover Analysis. And at several occasion since for shorter periods the work was mainly on approximate method for seismic evaluation of buildings this research is documented in two substantial internal reports. His responsibilities during this period in the laboratory of structural and continuum Mechanics at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology(EPFL) Switzerland (Lausanne) From July 2004 to July 2006 is Assistant of the implementation of new method in z-soil software. His teaching experience is Strength of materials, Finite element method, Continuum Mechanics, Steel Construction, Computer language programming, Structural Dynamic, Pre-stressed concrete. His research directions are seismic expertise, dynamic of structures, object oriented programming, xfem extend finite element method. Mourad Belgasmia is a book editor, (co) author of 18 papers in refereed international journals and more than 20 international conferences.

Static and Hydrodynamic Study of Tanks From Theory to Application Using Simplified Method and Shell Theory
Mourad Belgasmia. © 2025. 52 pages.
The purpose of this chapter is twofold. The first one is to expose two methods that enable us to apprehend the problem of tanks and water towers by two different approaches: The...
Structural Dynamics and Static Nonlinear Analysis From Theory to Application
Mourad Belgasmia. © 2021. 347 pages.
Static analysis is a special case of dynamic analysis. The main reason for using static or pseudo-static analysis is the simplicity of the design and the analysis itself. Many...
