Esteban Tlelo-Cuautle

Esteban Tlelo-Cuautle received a BSc degree from the Instituto Tecnológico de Puebla, México, in 1993. He then received both MSc and PhD degrees from the Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica (INAOE), México, in 1995 and 2000, respectively. In 2001, he was appointed as Professor-Researcher at INAOE. During 2009-2010, he served as a Visiting Researcher at University of California at Riverside, USA. He has authored and co-authored 10 books, 20 book chapters, 75 journal articles, and more than 150 conference papers. He is IEEE Senior Member and serves as Associate Editor in IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II, Integration – The VLSI Journal, and The Scientific World Journal. His research interests include systematic circuit synthesis techniques, modeling and simulation of linear and nonlinear circuits and systems, design and applications of chaotic oscillators, symbolic circuit analysis, multi-objective optimization by evolutionary algorithms, and analog/RF and mixed-signal design automation tools.

Publications

Performance Optimization Techniques in Analog, Mixed-Signal, and Radio-Frequency Circuit Design
Mourad Fakhfakh, Esteban Tlelo-Cuautle, Maria Helena Fino. © 2015. 464 pages.
Improving the performance of existing technologies has always been a focal practice in the development of computational systems. However, as circuitry is becoming more complex...
Combination of Metaheuristics to the Optimal Design of Analog and RF Circuits
Amin Sallem, Mouna Kotti, Mourad Fakhfakh, Esteban Tlelo-Cuautle, Patrick Siarry. © 2015. 25 pages.
Multi-objective metaheuristics are over and over again used by analog designers. They allow generating a set of non-dominated solutions (i.e. the Pareto front). In this chapter...
SODAC: A Simulation-Based Tool for the Optimal Design of Analog Circuits
Amin Sallem, Mourad Fakhfakh, Esteban Tlelo-Cuautle, Mourad Loulou. © 2012. 20 pages.
It is of common use that analog designers start by optimizing the basic building bloc forming an active circuit in order to ‘optimally’ size the latter. Even though it is known a...
Synthesis of Analog Circuits by Genetic Algorithms and their Optimization by Particle Swarm Optimization
Esteban Tlelo-Cuautle, Ivick Guerra-Gómez, Carlos Alberto Reyes-García, Miguel Aurelio Duarte-Villaseñor. © 2010. 20 pages.
This chapter shows the application of particle swarm optimization (PSO) to size analog circuits which are synthesized by a genetic algorithm (GA) from nullor-based descriptions....
A Hybrid System for Automatic Infant Cry Recognition II
Carlos Alberto Reyes-García, Sandra E. Barajas, Esteban Tlelo-Cuautle, Orion Fausto Reyes-Galaviz. © 2009. 6 pages.
Automatic Infant Cry Recognition (AICR) process is basically a problem of pattern processing, very similar to the Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) process (Huang, Acero, Hon...
