Barbara Guzzetti

Barbara J. Guzzetti is a Professor at Arizona State University in the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, Humanities Arts & Cultural Studies, English Department. She is also an Affiliated Faculty member in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, Educational Leadership and Innovation, and an Affiliated Faculty member in the School for Social Transformation, Women’s and Gender Studies. Her research and teaching focus on new media, particularly participatory or Do-It-Yourself (DIY) media, and youth culture and gender issues in new media. She is co-author of the Teachers College Press book, DIY Media in the Classroom: New Literacies across Content Areas. Her publications on new media have appeared in journals such as E-Learning and Digital Media; the Reading Research Quarterly, Research in the Teaching of English and the Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy.
