Bavarian Consortium (BSB)

Bavarian_Consortium IGI Global and the Bavarian Consortium have a partnership for the 2022 copyright year. Over 40+ institutions had the opportunity to gain discounted access to IGI Global’s content through the InfoSci® platform, which hosts the IGI Global e-Book Collection. Options included flexible perpetual, subscription, and EBA acquisitions models.

The The Bavarian Consortium is an association of libraries with the aim of jointly acquiring usage rights to databases, electronic journals and e-books. Potential participants are the university libraries, the libraries of the universities of applied sciences, the state regional libraries and the Bavarian State Library, which is also responsible for central negotiations in close coordination with the participating libraries.

Carolina Consortium

Carolina_Consortium IGI Global and the Carolina Consortium have continued their partnership for the 2022 copyright year for the third consecutive year. Over 175+ institutions, such as public libraries, seminary schools, community colleges, public universities, and private institutions are able to gain access to IGI Global’s content through the InfoSci® platform, which hosts the IGI Global e-Book Collection. Member institutions can participate in an innovative, publisher-direct, opt-in e-book title sharing agreement offering for 2022. Participating members can also gain funding support for APCs and BPCs for faculty and staff at their institution.

The Carolina Consortium provides academic libraries in North Carolina and South Carolina with affordable access to a variety of electronic resources. Since 2012, the Carolina Consortium has included over 175 higher learning institutions, from public universities to community colleges, and has saved libraries millions of dollars in deals.

Electronic Purchasing in Collaboration (EPIC)

EPIC_Logo IGI Global is proud to continue their collaboration with EPIC into the 2023 copyright year and provide New Zealand institutions with access to a wide range of innovative and emerging research in multiple disciplines, and are able to gain access to IGI Global’s content through the InfoSci® platform, which hosts the IGI Global e-Book Collection and the IGI Global e-Journal Collection. Participating members can also benefit from a matching fund of 100% OA APC Waivers for faculty and staff at their institution with IGI Global's IGI Global’s Open Access Agreements & Transformative Options.

EPIC (Electronic Purchasing in Collaboration) EPIC (Electronic Purchasing in Collaboration) is the national electronic licensing initiative that makes quality electronic resources available to New Zealanders through libraries who are consortium members.

Greater Western Library Alliance (GWLA) and Orbis Cascade Alliance (OCA)

GWLA_OCA IGI Global, the Greater Western Library Alliance, and the Orbis Cascade Alliance have entered into a new title sharing agreement deal for the 2022 copyright year, and institutions including research institutions, universities, colleges, community colleges, seminaries, and public libraries are able to gain access to IGI Global’s content through the InfoSci® platform, which hosts the IGI Global e-Book Collection. Member institutions can participate in an innovative, publisher-direct, opt-in e-book title sharing agreement offering for 2022. Participating members can also gain funding support to cover APCs and BPCs for faculty and staff at their institution.

The Greater Western Library Alliance is a consortium of 39 research libraries located across the United States. The activities and collaborative projects of the Alliance expand access to quality information both within and beyond the boundaries of the consortium. The highly skilled staffs of its member libraries capitalize on new technologies, to forge effective and meaningful partnerships, and to promote innovation and excellence.

The Orbis Cascade Alliance is a nonprofit consortium of 37 colleges and universities in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. The Alliance runs a shared library management system and discovery interface, works on collective purchasing, facilitates access to unique and local collections, and coordinates resource sharing for our members.

Jisc

jisc IGI Global is continuing collaboration with Jisc into the 2022 copyright year by continuing to offer deals to Jisc members for IGI Global's e-Collections, with subscription, perpetual, and EBA flexible acquisition models with special pricing.. Participating members can also benefit from a matching fund of 100% OA APC Waivers for faculty and staff at their institution with IGI Global's OA Fee Waiver (Read and Publish) Initiative.

This collaboration started in 2016, when IGI Global and Chest, a part of Eduserv, announced their agreement to offer emerging and forward-thinking content to universities and research institutions through the e-Book Collection and e-Journal Collection. The agreement allowed Chest members to access the scholarly information on a three (3)-year price fix. In January of 2019, Jisc and Eduserv began operating as one organization to provide digital solutions for UK education and research.

Taiwan Academic E-Book and Database Consortium (TAEBDC)

Over the last several years, TAEBDC has purchased a select number of IGI Global titles each year. IGI Global and TAEBDC are proud to continue their partnership, with TAEBDC’s selection of titles from the 2021 copyright year.

IGI Global and the Taiwan Academic Electronic Books and Databases Consortium (TAEBDC) have partnered to bring technology research to over 90 institutions, including universities, medical facilities, and research institutions across Taiwan for several years. Researchers, students, and professors throughout the country can access this content through TAEBDC’s investment in IGI Global’s academic research.

The German National Library of Economics (ZBW)

The German National Library of Economics, also known as the Leibniz Information Center for Economics (ZBW), is an economics-based consortium. Known as the world’s largest research infrastructure for economic literature online and offline, ZBW has been affiliated as an institute of the Christian Albrecht University of Kiel since 2007.

This consortium has been a long-time partner of IGI Global’s, with discounted pricing for IGI Global e-Journal Collection. The collaboration opened the door for nearly twenty new libraries to own a significant number of IGI Global’s innovative e-books for the use of their university communities. IGI Global and ZBW are currently working to continue their partnership into the 2021 copyright year.

Saudi Digital Library (SDL)

The Saudi Digital Library had been one of IGI Global’s long-standing consortia partners for several years. This partnership brought innovative and emerging research to Middle Eastern universities. They have had access to IGI Global’s e-Collections, including the e-Book Collection and e-Journal Collection. Members benefitted from a matching fund of 100% OA APC Waivers for faculty and staff at their institution with IGI Global's OA Fee Waiver (Read and Publish) Initiative.


The Saudi Digital Library (SDL) is the largest academic gathering of information sources in the Arab world, with more than 310,000 scientific references that are being continuously updated and cover all academic disciplines. Being an umbrella to all Saudi Universities, SDL won the award for the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information ‘know’ for outstanding projects in the Arab World in 2010.

South African National Library and Information Consortium (SANLiC)

IGI Global looked forward to their continued collaboration with SANLiC in the 2022 copyright year and provided their members with valuable and necessary publications, such as edited and authored reference books, handbooks of research, research insights, research essentials, and encyclopedias through their e-Book Collection, as well as scholarly journal content through the e-Journals Collection.

The South African National Library and Information Consortium (SANLiC) is an organization that provides affordable and cost-effective access to academic and scholarly research to educational institutions in Africa. With over 30 members today, SANLiC works to ensure that their relationships between publishers and university libraries provide librarians with affordable and high-quality research they can utilize. Additionally, SANLiC provides their members with access to various conference and seminar information every year.
